1.       David Bowie’s Birthday Special at The Projector, 5:00pm, Sunday, 8th Jan – The Projector, an independent cinema at Beach Road is celebrating Bowie’s celluloid glory as the antagonist in the family classic – LABYRINTHE!  You will love the vibe and the movie selection at The Projector if you’ve been complaining about the commercial cinemas and the limited movies they play.  There are no seats in the front rows, instead there are cozy bean bags, if that’s your thing.  And a café/bistro that’s a part of the cinema foyer, serving brunch, cinema snacks, mains and alcohol.  If you simply love the whole experience, you could buy a booklet of tickets that is slightly more economical than the regular tickets.  Post the movie, take a walk to the Golden Mile Complex for some authentic Thai food or groceries.  Other movies at The Projector this weekend are – Arrival, Julieta, La La Land, Tsukiji Wonderland, Apprentice, Your Name, Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
